		Document	Complete documentation for the application and listing of the Jackson Falls Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places by the United State Department of the Interior in March 2003. The District is comprised of seven privately owned and four Town-owned properties. The Jackson Board of Selectmen chose to oppose this listing and posited the opinion that the voters should decide. However the listing regulations require that a District is only eligible for listing if a majority of the property owners vote in favor, with one vote being assigned each property. In this instance, the seven private parties voted for and the Town voted four against. The listing rules were adhered to without any deviation and the democratic process prevailed. This bulky file is located in a separate file box.
