  Book Free-Will baptist Register for the year 1857. The first church in Jackson was established in 1803 at the "Triangle Site" and then moved to the present location of the Jackson Community Church when that building was built by the Protestant Chapel Association. The church was denominated Free-Will Baptist by the Protestant Chapeal Association until changed to the Community Church. (see book about the 150 years of a Protestant Chapel in Jackson for details.) This Register lists the Jackson Church having 85 members and A.J. Wood as preacher.
