| Document-1 | The Jackson Community Association, originally known as the Bertha Rogers Fund, funds scholarships for first year college expenses for deserving Jackson stuents. They also supply classroom books and other supplies to the Jackson Grammar School. The Bertha Rogers Fund was started for the purpose of giving a Christmas present to every child in Jackson. As people became more affluent this purpose became outmoded. This document gives details on Bertha Rogers and the Fund's early activities. | |||
